How MICLCA handles the information you share with us.
When you fill out a form on this site, we receive what you type: your name, email address, institution, and your message. That is all. We do not track you across other websites and we do not buy information about you from anyone.
When you join MICLCA or register for an event, the transaction is handled by Zeffy, our payment platform. Zeffy collects and stores payment information under its own privacy policy. Payment details never reach MICLCA systems. We see your name, email, membership type, and whether your dues are current.
We use it to reply to you, to administer your membership, and to send association announcements such as event invitations and calls for proposals. That is the whole list.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone outside MICLCA. No exceptions, no partners, no advertisers.
Our directory lists learning centers at Michigan colleges and universities. Every entry was compiled from information those institutions publish on their own public websites: center names, descriptions, public web pages, and departmental or role-based email addresses. We do not publish personal email addresses, direct phone numbers, or the names of individual staff members.
If your center is listed and you would like the entry corrected or removed, email info@miclca.org and say so. We will bring the request to the board and act on it. You do not need to explain why.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, so we know whether the site is useful. Google sets a cookie in your browser to do this. It tells us how many people visited a page and roughly where in the world they were; it does not tell us who you are. Google anonymizes IP addresses before we ever see the data. If you would rather not be counted, most browsers let you block cookies, and Google offers an opt-out add-on.
